Laurel Lane Residence

Hobe Sound, Florida

The Laurel Lane Residence is a coastal contemporary transformation with French Chateau-inspired elements of an existing Mediterranean-style residence built in the 1990s.

The idea was to transform and enlarge the existing living room into an open “great room” connecting to an open enlarged kitchen and new dining room filled with light from the added doors and clerestory windows.

The primary bedroom suite was relocated to the ground floor. Thus a symmetrical courtyard was created enhanced with pergolas, a central pool, an outdoor kitchen, and terraces that overlook the outdoor areas from the 2nd story bedrooms.
